TINY TOT TIMES
October 2001
This is a newsletter!!! I
apologize for not having one earlier.
Let me start from the beginning.

The 54th opening of a new school year went
very well. A few tears and adjustments to a new class are all behind us.
During the two weeks we were closed the school was painted, the floors were
stripped and waxed and the biggest accomplishment was remolding the bathroom
in the toddler room, the three year old room and the kindergarten room. |

|
Miss Chris is our kindergarten teacher. This is her second year and the children are on the road to reading, writing and math. There are lots of smiles in that room. Miss Chris has a wonderful way of making learning fun. |
|
||||
|
|
The four year old class is under the loving guidance of Miss Kathy and Miss Susie. |
||||
|
Welcome Miss Angie to our three year old class. Miss Angie comes to us with 22 years of experience in early childhood education. Miss Angie plays the guitar and has wonderful activities in store for our threes. We are very fortunate to have her join our Tiny Tot Family. Miss Ramsey has moved into the three year old room and will be working with Miss Angie in the morning and Miss Joanne in the afternoon. |

A very big thank you to all of our families who
participated in our fall fundraiser. Our fund raisers are part of the
budget and help offset the "wish list" items that make Tiny Tot a special
place for your children. The top winner for the second year is the Martin Family.
Christina is in the four your old room. They sold over $1900.00! $100.00 "LET US ENTERTAIN YOU" gift certificate goes to Mr. and Mrs. Liss, parents of Meghan in the toddler room. They sold over $400.00. $50.00 "LET US ENTERTAIN YOU" gift certificate goes to the Mrowiec Family. A.G. is in the four year old room. The school received just over $2900.00 from the fundraiser. Thank you for your support. |

We will never forget September 11, 2001, and the tragedy that struck our
country that day. As a nation, we are all shocked and deeply saddened by events that compare to nothing we have ever seen before. This is a time of grief and sorrow, but also of strength and recovery. As devastated as we are by the loss and destruction that we have witnessed, I believe we are equally moved by the heroism and compassion we see and hear from survivors and fellow citizens who are doing their best to help our country recover. The flag in the front entrance bears the handprint of every child and teacher at Tiny Tot. The older children are aware of what has happened. The teachers in the four and five year old classes have discussed the events and will continue to do so as the topic arises. It is not unusual for children to ask questions several days, weeks or even months after something has occurred.
