NUTRITION NUGGETS
IN THE KITCHEN-SMOOTHIE TIME!

Here’s a sure-fire way to
get kids excited about eating healthfully.
Toss fruit, a few ice cubes, yogurt, a
hard boiled egg and some juice into a blender.
You can add a teaspoon of wheat
bran into it to but fiber into your child’s diet.
With your supervision, your
child may be able to it themselves.
Get creative...you will find that it sure
beats spending time in the
kitchen baking goodies that are not healthy for you
or your children. |
RECIPE OF THE MONTH
THE BEST PLAYDOUGH EVER!
Combine 1 cup water, 1/4 cup salt,
1 Tbs. oil, 1 Tbs. vanilla extract,
1 Tsp.

and your choice of food coloring
in a pot until it just begins
to boil.
Take it off of the stove
and add 1 cup flour. Stir until
mixed well. Use heavy duty
gloves to take it out
and kneed it until fully mixed.
Store in
zip lock bag.
Wait until it has
cooled down and ENJOY! |

HEARTLAND ALLIANCE
We at Tiny Tot want you to know more about our family that we have
adopted
and the organization that brought us together with Erica
and her children.
The organization is called Heartland Alliance.
They are located at
208 South LaSalle Street,
Suite 1818,
Chicago, Illinois,
60604.
Their phone number is 312-660-1300
and
website address is
www.heartlandalliance.org.
We participate with them in a collaboration for one family,
but we are not limited to donations for just that family.
Erica and her children are doing much better,
thanks to all of you. However, Heartland Alliance
takes care of many families.
Anything you would like to donate would be graciously accepted,
because it would
go to the family that needs that specific item.
Anytime you want to bring
something in, be it clothes,
house wares or toys would be greatly appreciated.
We thank you for each and every item.

FEBRUARY IS
DENTAL HEALTH MONTH! |
|
|
|
 |
|
How do you keep your teeth healthy? |
| |
|
|
1. |
Brush your teeth at least twice a day. |
|
2. |
Limit sugary foods and drink. |
|
3. |
Eat crunchy foods such as raw carrots, apples and celery.
These foods help scale tartar from teeth. |
|
4. |
Eat calcium rich foods such as cheese, milk, and dark green
vegetables. Calcium builds strong bones and teeth. |
