December 2003

NEWS AND NOTES

December has arrived, no snow yet, but we know it's in our future.  There is much anticipation of the holidays, which will be here in a blink. We are having fun decorating the classrooms and sharing in the children's delight.  This is such a hectic time of year for all of us.  It is especially important to take time to share the magic of the season with the special people in our lives.

Our Holiday Show is
Thursday, December 18th

at
7:00 p.m.
at the Holiday Inn
on Touhy Ave.
Please have your
child there no later
than 6:45 p.m.
Our 3,4 and 5 year-olds
will delight you with
songs of the season.
When you come for
the show, please keep
your children with you
until the teachers
ask for them.
Please bring your
baked goods directly
to the hotel,
There will be a table
in the back of the room
for you to put them on.

We'd like to extend a special invitation to our Toddler Parents to attend our Holiday Show so you can see what is in store for them next year. We have found that to put our littlest angels on the stage is very overwhelming for them.

Santa Claus will visit Tiny Tot on
Tuesday, December 16th
It is customary for Santa to visit with
the Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten
together and then the Toddlers and
Three-year-olds.  It is a very exciting
morning here and really gets us in the spirit.

Our classroom holiday parties will be
on the afternoon of December 17
th
for the Two's and in the
morning on December 19
th
for the Threes, Fours and Fives.
If you would like send an
individually wrapped treat on
that day contact your child's
teacher to find out the number
of children in your child's classroom.

Thursday, November 6th was Picture Day.   The pictures will arrive before Christmas.  They make great holiday gifts.

Thank you for you cookie dough
and popcorn orders.
The goodies will be delivered
on Wednesday, December 10th
at 12:oo noon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

WHAT'S HAPPENING...

Our Teddy Bears, the two's ...
"Go Away Big Green Monster" is our toddler's favorite book.
They created their own Big Green Monsters using the face parts and
colors found in the the book.
In time for the winter holidays, the Toddlers made a wreath
with their handprints and candles for the menorah with crayon shavings.

The Bunny Bunch, the threes ...
during Winter Week talked about the change in the weather,
hibernation, and snow.  We made our very own snowmen
winter wonderland and had fun playing in pretend snow.

Our 4's, our Junior Kindergarten ...
showed us their "All I want For Christmas" wish List.
Who has been naughty or nice?
Frosty is a bit early this year.  However,
the children enjoyed building their snowmen and women.

Our 5's, our Kindergartener's...
during the month of December we have been talking about Christmas.
During the first week, we made reindeer by gluing on eyes,
nose and antlers, which were made by tracing each child's hand.
Each reindeer turned out great and we have a fun time making them!

You can now print our Registration Form.

 Merry Christmas
from all of us
to all of you!
