PARENT/STAFF COMMUNICATION


Ongoing communication between the school and the parent essential for a positive, and effective experience for each child. Please feel free to discuss any questions and/or concerns with the director. If the director feels it is in the best interest of the child and parent, a conference will be held with the parent and/or teacher. Other than brief conversations, please do not engage staff members in lengthy discussion at arrival and departure time. The staff is involved with the care of a group of children and that is where they must focus their primary attention.

CONFERENCES: Conferences are held twice a year. Parents are encouraged to attend these meetings in the Fall and Spring. Conferences are a good time to share observations about the child, to receive feed back regarding the child's progress and to discuss any concerns or questions.

In addition, the teachers and director are always available to meet with parents on an informal and ongoing basis.

NEWSLETTERS: A weekly newsletter from each class is sent home on Friday.

TELEPHONE CALLS: Please feel free to call the school with questions and/or concerns. If you wish to speak to your child's teacher, we ask that you call between 12:30 and 2:30 P.M.; during naptime.
